Adam Monkman
Grassroots Director/Discovery Phase Lead
Adam grew up playing multiple sports and decided to focus on soccer late in his teen years. Adam played collegiate futsal in what is now the ACAC and has played for local clubs in Calgary and Northern Ireland.
The vision Adam has for the grassroots program at New Frontier is to create a culture of confidence, character and integrity in a fun and challenging environment. He encourages players and coaches to take risks, grow and learn from both setbacks and success. Adam is passionate about individuals exploring what they are capable of- especially as it relates to soccer and character. Adam believes that soccer is a microcosm of life. “Everything you learn in the game has a direct impact on how you show up in life and all of its circumstances. All the lessons of the game translate over to ‘life lessons’. Whether it’s learning about respect, discipline, commitment, leadership, resiliency, determination, or hard work.”
“We play the same way we live”. -Xabier Azkargorta
