Congrats Cat - Physical Literacy Coach of the Year!

For the SECOND year running, New Frontier Foundation Phase Lead, Cat Fox has been recognized as Alberta Soccer’s Physical Literacy Coach of the Year!

Cat will be attending the Annual Awards Banquet on Saturday, February 11 to collect her well earned award!

The Alberta Soccer Physical Literacy Coach of the Year Award is presented to a trained coach who is working or committed to the LTPD Stages 1,2, and 3 (Active Start, FUNdamentals, or Learn to Train) and directs their program with sportsmanship and within the principles of the Long-Term Player Development Plan.

Cat is the most passionate person we know when it comes to Foundation Phase Coaching. Her energy and enthusiasm rubs off on the players she works with. The ‘Ball, Brain and Body’ curriculum she has developed at New Frontier helps players improve their physical abc’s, ball skills and decision making.

“Fundamental and Foundation Phase coaches have an important job. We have to teach players to fall in love with the game! It’s our job to provide a great experience and introduction to the sport. It’s a job I try not to take for granted. It’s a job I feel blessed to do”.
